Listening to music helps you to do the housework better. Here is a playlist to listen to with sponge and gloves in your hands.

Cleaning the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom can be tiring and require a physical and mental effort that should not be underestimated, especially when there are so many other things we have to do. So, between the dust to be removed and the floors to be washed, why not count on a good ally like music?

Musical notes make your brain release more dopamine which is linked to the sphere of pleasure and has beneficial effects on our mood. A pair of headphones or loudspeakers, a mobile phone, an iPod or, why not, an old stereo are all it takes to make cleaning fun. Now all we have to do is to decide what music to listen to and choose the playlist that will make housework much more fun and perhaps make it an excuse to sing those songs we love so much.

The first one we suggest is “Don’t stop me now” by Queen. Singing “Don’t stop me now, I’m having so much fun, I’m having the time of my life”, Freddie Mercury and his friends are excellent motivators to get us to clean the furniture and chairs. It is no coincidence that a scientific study has named this Queen hit as the most positive song of all time.

If you’re a fan of the British band, you can continue with another classic, ‘I want to break free’, whose video showed Mercury doing the housework. So, what better inspiration than to see your favourite singer cleaning?
From rock to pop, Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” could not be missing from this special playlist, and cleaning the floors at the moonwalk will be an experience.

From the king to the queen of pop, here are some of Madonna’s most famous songs. “Isla bonita”, “Frozen” and “Like a Virgin” are some of the hits who can turn us into cleaning stars. We continue to clean with ‘Looks like a lady’ by Dude, the soundtrack to the famous scene in the film ‘Mrs Doubtfire’ in which the great Robin Williams, disguised as a woman, danced around the house with a broom in his hand.

The playlist continues with Lady Gaga, the Rolling Stones, U2 and with great Italian music. But, these are just ideas. The important thing is to listen to songs that you love and that help you relax or give you the right energy to do the housework with a smile. So, what are you waiting for, let’s take cloth, headphones and, of course, Unitekno cleaner and start to dance- oops, I mean to clean.
